Responsibility
design and develop mechanical components, assemblies and systems for subsea equipment and Plug and Abandonment tools
produce manufacturing drawings and perform engineering calculations to ensure designs meet API specifications and industry standards
participate in design reviews and provide technical input to ensure designs are optimized for performance, reliability, and manufacturability
utilize Finite Element Analysis and other analytical tools to verify design performance and identify areas for improvement
collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure designs are optimized for cost and manufacturability
work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and technicians to develop innovative solutions to meet customer requirements and project goals
Requirements
bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
at least 1-year experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably with subsea engineering and plug and abandonment sectors
proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software
strong understanding of mechanical design principles and ability to perform hand calculations
knowledge of FEA and other analytical tools
experience with manufacturing processes and ability to produce manufacturing drawings
excellent communication and teamwork skills
familiarity with industry standards and specifications, such as API 6A, API 17D, API 16A and API 17H
