Responsibility

  • you must be able to work independently and as part of a team, have excellent communication skills, and be detail-oriented
  • assisting in preparing the designs, specifications, etc for the project under the direction of an Engineering Leader
  • preparing reports
  • as a leading Structural and Civil Engineering consultancy in the North East, we are currently seeking a talented individual to join our team and become a vital part of our continued success
  • attending project meetings and carrying out site visits
  • as a Structural Engineer you will be working on a variety of projects across the region alongside our experienced team of Civil and Structural Engineers and Technicians
  • checking calculations, drawings and details for accuracy
  • you will be competent carrying out hand analysis and calculations, and be proficient in producing technical details and sketches to convey your designs

Requirements

  • degree level qualification in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering
  • ideally min. 2-3 years of experience working on the structural design of building structures across all major materials
  • excellent hand analysis and calculation skills
  • experience of structural design software desirable but not essential
  • excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • strong attention to detail and accuracy
