Responsibility

  • our main aim is to provide a safe and supportive environment where people are respected as individuals
  • to undertake responsibilities and work within established procedures and policies
  • to collaborate with and have respect for all colleagues and service users
  • to provide support daily to those on shift in the absence of Senior Management within the homes
  • reports to: Senior Management Team
  • to lead by example and support the home environment to be positive for those who live and work there
  • senior support workers will be responsible for supporting Stroud and District Homes Foundation to provide the best possible care and support to adults with learning disabilities whilst working in accordance with our mission statement, statement of purpose, core values and policy guidelines
  • we expect all staff to work with each individual with a holistic approach, considering social, physical, cultural, emotional and spiritual aspects of the service users well-being whilst supporting people to reach their full potential
