Responsibility

  • conduct land surveys using advanced surveying equipment and technology
  • prepare accurate survey drawings and reports, documenting findings and recommendations
  • collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to provide essential data for project planning
  • analyse survey data to calculate land boundaries and establish property lines
  • ensure all surveying activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards
  • maintain equipment and ensure it is calibrated for optimal performance
  • assist in the training of junior staff or interns in surveying techniques and best practices
  • communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on project progress

Requirements

  • A degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field is preferred
  • professional accreditation or licensure as a Land Surveyor is highly desirable
  • proficiency in using surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS equipment, and levels
  • strong analytical skills with attention to detail in data collection and interpretation
  • excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and clients
  • ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while adhering to safety protocols
  • previous experience in land surveying or a related field is an advantage but not essential for entry-level positions
