Education
- certification in CAD software or design techniques are a plus
Responsibility
- ensure all CAD designs are accurate, meet project timelines, and adhere to the highest quality standards
- collaborate closely with product developers, engineers, and production teams to ensure designs are feasible and optimized for manufacturing
- oversee the creation of detailed 2D and 3D CAD models for new Cabinet space planning layouts, ensuring designs align with client specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and industry standards
- ensure smooth communication between all stakeholders, ensuring that any design changes are communicated promptly and accurately
- act as a key point of contact between the CAD design team and other departments, including sales, production, and procurement
Requirements
- deep understanding of cabinet manufacturing, furniture design, material properties and the installation process
- excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- knowledge of 2D & 3D modelling and rendering software is desirable
- strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- proven experience of being a leading designer with the ability to carry out client facing design review meeting being able to clearly articulate reasons behind your designs
- 4+ years of experience in CAD design within the Cabinet manufacturing design industry, with a strong portfolio of work
- proficiency in AutoCAD & SketchUp software is key. Understanding alternative programmes such as CADCAM, Cabinet Vision, SolidWorks, Rhino, or similar would be a benefit
- kitchen Cabinetry CAD Designing: 3 years
