Responsibility
- we are seeking a full-time support worker
- our Company - Established by two Occupational Therapists with an extensive background of practice within community learning disability services
- full induction, training and professional development will be provided on commencement of the role
- our company provides modern, creative and innovative support for adults with learning disabilities and / or mental health difficulties across a variety of settings
- it is important to note that the gentleman lives in a house where dogs are very much a part of his life and so applicants must be comfortable working in a family home where dogs are present
- previous complex healthcare experience, either on a voluntary basis or as a paid employee is essential. Experience in PEG care and working with individuals who present with behaviours that may challenge is desirable
- applicants must hold a full valid driving licence and be willing to drive the gentleman’s adapted vehicle to facilitate access to the wider community
- most important is that you have enthusiasm, understanding and resilience, as well as to be flexible, patient and able to view situations from different perspectives
