Responsibility
- to ensure that all patients, visitors and inbound telephone calls to the practice are greeted professionally
- to manage the flow of patients arriving at the reception desk for appointments, prescriptions and general queries
- manage appointments on EMIS e.g. booking appointments, arriving patients, cancelling and re-arranging appointments

- keep new patient registration forms, prescriptions request forms, practice leaflet etc... stocked up
- key responsibilities
- dealing with patient queries on the telephone and in person
- ensure all patients and visitors to the surgery are dealt with efficiently and courteously
- processing repeat medications in a timely and correct manner
- processing patient communications as per system guidelines
- station Road Surgery are looking for a GP Administrator/Receptionist, with excellent administration, communication and people skills to join our team of Reception/Administrative staff
- providing administrative support to clinical staff
- experience of working in a GP surgery and experience in the use of systemone would be an advantage, however full training will be given to suitable candidate
- mon - Fri, 37.5 hours a week - Between 8am and 8pm
- to act as the first point of contact to patients and visitors accessing the practice
- cover for other reception team members may be required for sickness and annual leave
- practice manager or Reception manager
- workflow manager - Action tasks from doctors, allocating results, downloading health records, filing out of hours reports
Requirements
- be able to commute to the surgery
- experience using EMIS
- positive can do attitude
