Responsibility
manage and lead a team of two junior staff members, providing mentorship and guidance to develop their skills
day-to-day accounting
prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, adhering to UK accounting laws and standards
expertly manage ATOL and ABTA returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
we are looking for a experienced candidate to oversee the financial operations of the company's UK and international offices, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
monitor cash flow, manage payroll processing, tax filings, and financial obligations across multiple jurisdictions
collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making
conduct financial audits and work closely with external auditors to maintain accuracy and compliance
Requirements
bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualification is a plus
minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with a proven track record in financial management
ideally, at least 2 years of experience in a travel-related financial role
strong knowledge of UK accounting laws, regulations, and reporting standards
excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
leadership abilities and experience managing a small team
organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
international finance experience is advantageous given the company's global operations
