Responsibility

  • to service equipment ensuring that customer equipment is properly maintained and fit for purpose
  • to be responsible for the resources, tools, parts and skills to effectively complete the necessary task and repairs
  • to be responsible for maintaining their company vehicle, ensuring it is clean, tidy and roadworthy at all times
  • to be responsible for maintaining and replenishing van stock comprising of high usage fast moving parts
  • to carry out mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs to our client`s commercial and retail product within the response times in accordance with agreed Service Levels and health and Safety requirements
  • to utilise effective time management skills to balance priority to key accounts and service contract customers, whilst maintaining the most economical route
  • to accurately close down jobs, providing repair data, serial numbers and parts used in a timely manner to enable effective follow up work to take place as necessary
  • to be able to recommend new/refurbished equipment at the point where a machine is not repairable and to ensure that the lead is passed onto the Sales Department for conversion into a sale

Requirements

  • experience of repairing and/or servicing fitness equipment, in particular knowledge of Precor, Life, Technogym products
  • effective communication skills are essential in this customer facing role, as is experience of dealing with customers in a pressurised environment
  • must be able to work on your own or as part of a team
  • must be PC literate
  • A full UK driver`s licence
  • work Remotely
  • previous experience of working in a repair or service engineer role or similar with a background in electrical and/or mechanical repair work is ideal
