Responsibility
- staffingLab is looking for a Safety Officer to join our team in Telford
- lead site risk assessment teams, ensuring that any actions are identified, allocated, competently carried out and reviewed
- maintain records of accidents, injuries, accidents, or injuries to ensure that they are reported immediately to management
- ensure that appropriate corrective actions are taken as required by law or departmental policies
- perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Safety
- ensure that all employees are following all applicable standards of practice in accordance with applicable laws and regulations regarding safety, security, and operations

- to ensure that the requirements and aspirations of the Health and Safety Policy are implemented and that site Health & Safety systems are effectively communicated, implemented, promoted and enforced
Requirements
- excellent working knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards for food production
- A minimum level 3 recognised academic or vocational qualification in a Health & Safety discipline
- desirable - experience within a FMCG operation
- desirable - Experience of carrying out risk assessments and audits and participating in the rollout of corrective actions
- excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- open approach, engaging staff with a significant presence of the factory floor
- effective problem solving and analysis
- ability to work as part of wider team to make effective changes in the business
