Responsibility

• dimensional product verification using CMM machinery and other metrology equipment
• leading by example and mentoring and coaching Quality Technicians within the team
• internal Audits in line with ISO9001

• supporting the Quality technicians with customer return investigations and PPAP submissions
• supplier visits typically 1-2 a month and mainly within the UK though some European trips may be required
• working to audit and assure the quality of incoming materials from suppliers, this will include regular supplier audits, investigating any issues with incoming materials and supporting the supplier approval process as new suppliers are brought on board
• acting on behalf of the Quality Manager and contributing to strategic decision making for the department
• supporting manufacturing by investigating any quality issues that arise, fault finding and investigating problems using processes such as 8D and 5Y and implementing corrective and preventative actions
