- the Director of Finance and Resources is a key role and an integral part of the charity’s Senior Management Team
- we are looking for a Director of Finance and Resources to join our team, this is a unique opportunity for someone to take on this inspiring, strategic and exciting role
- st John’s Hospice was founded as a charity in 1986 and is judged by CQC as an ‘outstanding provider’ of palliative care services to adults in North Lancashire, the South Lakes and parts of North Yorkshire
- st John’s Hospice is held in deep affection by the local community, its staff and volunteers, so this is no ordinary Director role
- all our care is free of charge to the patients and their families/carers but, of course, it isn’t free to provide, with two thirds of the annual income funded through the generosity of the local community
- it costs over £5 million a year to run St John’s Hospice, and you will play a strategic role in managing this £5 million, without which we cannot provide the huge range of services the community relies on
- excellent line management skills will ensure that St John’s staff and volunteers can thrive in their roles
