the Director of Finance and Resources is a key role and an integral part of the charity’s Senior Management Team
we are looking for a Director of Finance and Resources to join our team, this is a unique opportunity for someone to take on this inspiring, strategic and exciting role
st John’s Hospice was founded as a charity in 1986 and is judged by CQC as an ‘outstanding provider’ of palliative care services to adults in North Lancashire, the South Lakes and parts of North Yorkshire
st John’s Hospice is held in deep affection by the local community, its staff and volunteers, so this is no ordinary Director role
all our care is free of charge to the patients and their families/carers but, of course, it isn’t free to provide, with two thirds of the annual income funded through the generosity of the local community
it costs over £5 million a year to run St John’s Hospice, and you will play a strategic role in managing this £5 million, without which we cannot provide the huge range of services the community relies on
excellent line management skills will ensure that St John’s staff and volunteers can thrive in their roles
