Responsibility
to ensure that full and accurate documentation is kept regarding young people in line with legal, local, national and professional guidelines
the Registered Manager is responsible for ensuring staff engage and communicate effectively with young people, ensuring each young person's spiritual, moral, social and cultural needs are met
to be accountable for safeguarding and high quality of care to all young people, including having responsibility for reporting and providing notifications as required to other agencies and ensuring these are acted upon appropriately
to accept responsibility for the day-to-day management of high profile cases and to oversee the case management of all young people within the home
the Registered Manager will facilitate inspection visits from regulatory bodies and routine regulation 44 inspections ensuring all relevant information is accessible and easily available
the Registered Manager should act on and share all recommendations from these visits with staff, young people, parents, local authorities and other interested parties
Requirements
proven experience relevant to residential care
proven experience supervising and managing professional staff
have a good knowledge and experience of law and practice relating to looked after children
have business and management skills to manage the work efficiently and effectively
A level 5 qualification relevant to working with children or management qualification
at the heart of the business, their other main priority is ensuring staff welfare and happiness
providing care: 3 years
they provide a safe and stable environment for vulnerable young people, allowing them to build on their confidence, self-esteem and resilience transitioning to adult life
