this role is a holistic role focused on housing and support of our customers
the focus will be on support to build resilience, improve wellbeing and move towards independence
you will be responsible for a patch of properties which will involve both support role duties, alongside housing management
you will join a successful team of other Tenancy Sustainment Workers, who you will work alongside
you will be responsible for supporting customers to actively live healthy, happy independent lives within their homes in communities through early targeted prevention, personalised support and partnership working
this role is a varied role, and brings a variety of different challenges, whilst also being a rewarding role to be involved in
you will provide support to people with a variety of needs, including offending behaviour, mental health issues, substance misuse, issues around family breakdown, neighbourhood disputes, behavioural problems, anti-social behaviour

understanding of the challenges faced by individuals who have been at risk of homelessness
effective interpersonal skills
ability to work with customers with a range of different needs
ability to work with customers from a range of different backgrounds
ability to be flexible with your working hours to meet the needs of customers where appropriate
NVQ level 3 qualification in Housing / Health and Social Care is desirable
driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role

ü At least two years’ experience of working within the broad field of community development
ü Experience in leading and managing individuals and a team
ü Experience developing and managing community-based programmes/projects
ü Understanding of engaging adults and carers with a range of different needs, including effectively managing sometimes complex and difficult requirements
ü Ability to effectively liaise with a range of service providers or agencies to establish or improve services for customers
ü An understanding of the funding environment and grant making processes
ü An ability to manage and prioritise workload, including use of computers, software and internet
