Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- act as Tier 2-4 Ops for carrier issues
- troubleshoot private wire issues and provide accurate ticket documentation
- to carry out callouts, service, and maintenance activities
- to carry out minor shifts, moves and additions activities
- to carry out installation, testing, and commissioning activities
- accurately update network documents and diagrams when necessary
- provide “Ready for Business” checks and network health checks to ensure network uptime
- to liaise with and establish a good working relationship with customers and their representatives
Requirements
- operational experience of working in a Trader Voice Environment
- an understanding of Telecoms / Networking principles essential
- achieved a recognised industry standard qualification
- good understanding of trader voice lines and troubleshooting
- understanding of TCP/IP and SIP Protocols
- demonstrate the ability to maintain a data center
- understanding of Server technologies, both hardware and software, including Windows and Linux O/S, VMWare, and Google Cloud Platform is not required, but would be advantageous
- ability to monitor network traffic and equipment on a daily basis and react properly to any alarms
