Responsibility

  • you will have the opportunity to work with a small caseload in collaboration with staff, other agencies and families/carers
  • speakeasy-therapy is committed to providing excellent opportunities for training, peer support, supervision and protected CPD
  • speakeasy-therapy is an established and well respected service across the UK that provides a high quality occupational therapy service for families and schools
  • paediatric experience / Sensory integration experience or additional qualifications is highly desirable
  • our Occupational Therapy team is rapidly expanding and is now up to 10 members, making you the 11th Occupational Therapist to join the team, allowing for many opportunities for peer supervision, team CPD and effective team working
  • you will also be a valued member of the wider Speakeasy Therapy team including a large team of Speech and Language Therapists
  • therefore, paediatric experience / Sensory integration experience or additional qualifications is highly desirable but not essential with training and supervision provided
  • the role consists of delivering high quality assessment, intervention and training in specialist and mainstream schools and working with individual families across the Leicestershire area

Responsibility

  • the role can be flexible with part time / full time and will based around your geographical location
  • this post will involve working with children in specialist and mainstream school environments and directly with families in their homes
  • to design, plan and deliver high quality therapy treatment programmes
  • leading on a complex communication caseload
  • to assess, plan, deliver, record and report on the development, progress and achievement / attainment of students and service users
  • to work closely with the children, their families and school staff to develop good relationships and rapport
  • speakeasy Therapy is a well established independent therapy team with contracts with independent schools, mainstream schools, families and Local Authorities across the East Midlands
  • we are looking for 2 x enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapists who would like to join a team of 30 staff members consisting of both Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Psychotherapists to fulfil the growing need for Speech and Language Therapy in the Nottinghamshire/ Derbyshire area
