Requirements
- minimum NVQ Level 4 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent, NVQ 5 preferred
- previous experience managerial role within a care home or similar setting
- strong understanding of medication management and adherence to relevant regulations
- excellent knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including Care Inspectorate Wales standards
- demonstrated ability to establish and implement medical intervention protocols for vulnerable service users
- outstanding organisational, leadership, and communication skills
- proficiency in IT systems and ability to maintain accurate records
- ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with various stakeholders
Responsibility
- develop and maintain a comprehensive training matrix for all staff members, ensuring compliance with mandatory training requirements
- ensure accurate and timely medication records are maintained, including documentation of administration, stock control, and ordering
- provide guidance and support to staff in implementing necessary medical interventions, ensuring the safety and well-being of Service Users
- oversee and manage the medication administration process in accordance with care home policies and regulations
