- assist plumbers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems
- carry tools and materials to job sites
- prepare job sites by setting up equipment and tools
- cut, measure, and assemble pipes and fittings
- remove and replace old plumbing fixtures
- keep work areas clean and tidy
- perform other duties as assigned
Education
- GCSE or equivalent
Requirements
- previous experience as a Plumbers Mate is preferred but not required
- ability to lift heavy equipment and tools
- good communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety procedures
- willingness to learn and expand knowledge of the plumbing trade
