Responsibility

  • develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
  • assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
  • drama Teacher, responsible for a class of up to 28 children, age range 4-16 years
  • create a positive and engaging learning environment
  • communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
  • collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive educational experience
  • prepare distribute information to parents, schools and other organisations as required
  • attend training seminars

Requirements

  • teaching and or drama experience
  • full training is given and on going
  • A qualification in Performing Arts is desirable but not essential
  • bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • an ability to engage and inspire children to be themselves through Drama whilst working to the Academy’s award-winning curriculum
  • state teaching certification or licensure
  • experience working with children either in a school setting or through extra-curricular activities is desirable but not essential
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
