Requirements

  • university or equivalent; relevant certifications or an associate degree in IT-related fields is a plus but not needed
  • proven experience in repairing and troubleshooting Apple MacBook, iMac, PC desktops, and Windows laptops
  • familiarity with Windows operating systems and basic understanding of Windows Server and Microsoft 365
  • strong hardware and software diagnostic skills, coupled with the ability to analyse and solve complex technical issues
  • excellent customer service and communication skills to interact with both customers and internal staff
  • detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritise workload effectively
  • willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and IT processes
  • previous experience in a similar IT support role is advantageous

Responsibility

  • position: Computer Hardware Engineer
  • be able to travel across the UK and aboard when needed
  • documentation: Maintain detailed records of all repairs, including hardware replacements, software installations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference
  • inventory Management: Keep track of spare parts, tools, and supplies required for repairs, and ensure proper stock levels are maintained
  • device Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues for customer devices, including Apple MacBook, iMac, PC desktops, and Windows laptops. Conduct regular maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal performance
  • server support: Undergo training to gain proficiency in an array of different servers including HPE, Dell, IBM and more
  • internal IT Support: Provide timely technical support to employees for hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
