Working hours

Responsibility

  • you will manage and advise on the development of procurement strategy, prepare and evaluate tenders, and negotiate contract terms and conditions
  • you will also participate in internal or external meetings, develop reports and presentations, and perform additional duties as assigned
  • you will work closely with the client’s legal team and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the projects
  • as a Contracts Manager, you will work as part of the client’s project team, you will be responsible for providing procurement and commercial support for their major infrastructure projects
  • we are currently working with a number of prestigious infrastructure clients looking for experienced Procurement and Commercial Professionals to join our busy team in Scotland Hybrid/remote with occasional travel to Perth

Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field
  • proven experience as a Contract Manager or in a similar role
  • experience of procuring either offshore platforms/rigs or offshore systems associated with platforms/rigs
  • experience of procuring either offshore platforms/rigs or offshore systems associated with
  • strong knowledge of contract law and legal terminology
  • experience of negotiating contract terms and conditions, particularly in relation to NEC and FIDIC suites of contract
  • platforms/rigs
  • excellent negotiation and communication skills

Contract type

  • work as part of client’s project team contributing to procurement and commercial aspects of their major infrastructure projects
  • manage and advise on development of procurement strategy
  • prepare and evaluate tenders, including PQQs, tender documentation, normalisation of tender returns and writing tender evaluation reports
  • develop contractual documents and negotiate contract terms and conditions in liaison with client’s legal team
