Responsibility
support the global infrastructure using a follow-the-sun model, manage technical escalations to global team, and drive continuous improvement
daily support and Interaction with internal stakeholders regarding support issues
plan and implement technology infrastructure improvements in line with the global strategy
contribute to production support issues including, troubleshooting, providing short and long-term solutions, and root cause analysis
efficiently create and track issues within an incident-management system
research and implement new technologies to solve specific product asks
provide weekend and out-of-hours support, as necessary
work with application partners and infrastructure peers, participating in all aspects of the change process: workflow management, escalation, and planning
Requirements
proven, relevant experience in system administration supporting a high availability enterprise environment
knowledge of in-memory databases, memcache, vsftp; knowledge of clustering, rac, GFS, VDI
good working knowledge of Linux networking fundamentals & technologies
scripting - perl, shell scripting and debugging capabilities
datacentre experience - racking servers - HP and Cisco UCS, running patch cables, troubleshooting
to be considered for this role you should have a solid 5 years’ experience as a Unix Sys Admin in an enterprise environment
knowledge of Linux OS build process, PXE boot and kickstart process, DHCP, TFTP, DNS, Redhat Satellite Server. RHEL 6/7/8 and Centos knowledge, openssl, mysql, scripting in perl, shell, Apache
knowledgeable in the use of Fibre Attached Storage, Multipathing including, setup, maintenance and troubleshooting
