Responsibility
- conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including the use of advanced diagnostic equipment
- provide tailored, and thorough ocular health advice and recommendations to patients regarding eyewear and contact lenses
- manage and monitor ongoing eye conditions and work closely with other healthcare professionals as necessary
- ensure patients receive exceptional service and care in a welcoming and friendly environment by establishing good rapport
- maintain accurate patient records in line with practice procedures and regulations
- participate in daily team meetings and huddles and collaborate with colleagues to improve the patient journey and overall experience
Requirements
- flexibility to cover extra shifts, particularly during holiday periods
- full optometrist qualification
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn new techniques and technologies
- strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- familiarity with using a phoropter is a plus, though not essential
- knowledge on lens types and manufacturer’s as well as an interest in designer frames and their materials/key features
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues
- enthusiastic, personable, and passionate about providing high-quality care
