Responsibility
- supervise the daily operations of the depot, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies
- manage inventory control processes
- implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs
- oversee a team of staff, providing training and support to ensure high performance
- allocating equipment to different projects based on job requirements
- conducting regular safety inspections of equipment and work sites
- promoting a strong safety culture within the depot
- coordinate logistics activities, including the movement of goods in and out of the depot. As well as maintaining accurate records of inventory levels and deliveries
Requirements
- proven experience in a supervisory role within a Traffic Management environment is essential
- excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- strong knowledge of logistics operations and supply chain management principles
- excellent verbal communication
- experience in implementing continuous improvement strategies within a depot setting
- previous experience of managing others
- excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- competent IT skills
