Responsibility

  • contacting potential customers to inform them about a product or service using scripts
  • answering questions about products and / or the company
  • gather and confirm contact details of key personnel at potential customers
  • ask questions to understand customer requirements and make appointments for the sales team
  • enter and update customer details in the CRM keeping records of calls and sales and noting useful information
  • handle grievances to preserve the company’s reputation
  • go the “extra mile” to meet sales quota and facilitate future sales

Requirements

  • proven experience as telesales executive or other sales/customer service role
  • proven track record of successfully meeting sales quota preferably over the phone
  • good knowledge of relevant computer programs and telephone systems
  • ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to prospects
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • presentable should the opportunity to meet potential customers arise
  • cool-tempered and able to handle rejection
  • outstanding negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints
