Working hours
- part-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- personal carer for young adult male with cerebral Palsy
- £13 per hour with three-monthly pay review. Self employed basis
- x 1.5 wage on public bank holidays
- \* Providing one-to-one support with daily personal care and household tasks, including cooking and cleaning
- \* Maintaining health & safety, hygiene, and dignity at all times
- \* Working with other support workers to ensure daily care and physical needs are completed to the highest of standards
- \* Providing support in the local community including social events and physio/hydrotherapy
- \* Administering medication
Requirements
- \* Experience with learning disabilities, brain injury, epilepsy and support work preferred
- \* Moving and handling and personal care experience preferred
- \* First aid training preferred
- \* Caring, compassionate and kind individual
- \* Passion for helping and making a difference in someone else’s life
- \* Excellent communication skills
- \* Confidence in handling difficult situations
