- you must fully meet the JIB Grading rules for the grade of Electrician
- you must have at least 2 years’ experience working as an electrician after the satisfactory completion of apprenticeship/training
- you must have proof of your qualifications and have these available for review
- as an electrician you will be expected to possess practical and productive skills with adequate technical knowledge and qualification to be able to work on your own proficiency and carry out electrical installation work as required without immediate supervision
- it Is preferable to hold a full valid driving licence and you must declare any driving offences
- you must be experienced in working with all types of containment installation and cabling including Unistrut, ladder racking and SWA cables
Requirements
- you must fully meet the JIB Grading rules for the grade of Approved Electrician
- you must have demonstrated competence in Inspection & Testing and obtained either
- level 3 Certification in the Certificate of Electrical Installations, or
- you are required to be able to set out jobs from drawing and/or specifications and requisition the necessary installation materials
- you must have achieved or be willing to achieve SSSTS qualification
- both the Level 3 Award in Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations and the Level 3 Award in Periodic, Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations
