Responsibility

  • directing viable new instructions when necessary to key relevant department staff for further in-depth discussions about the nature of their instruction
  • collating sufficient key client information to enable a new client case to be opened on the company case management system
  • carry out the appropriate compliance and due diligence checks for the legal service being instructed according to the company compliance policies
  • ensuring that all information required for the case management system is fully and correctly entered
  • updating the case management system when new information is received after the initial matter opening has been completed
  • handling initial prospective client enquiries received by phone, email, online and live chat and providing quotes by email through our online quoting system
  • liaising with key relevant department staff where necessary
  • to assist with the provisions of ID documentation from the prospective client and to upload such ID on to the case management system according to the company policy and procedures

Requirements

  • an efficient and well organised individual who takes a proactive approach to their work
  • able to undertake a range of duties and to prioritise a varied workload with minimal supervision
  • process driven individual with excellent attention to detail
  • confident and able to communicate effectively with both other staff and clients either face to face or on the telephone
  • strong IT skills, confident in working with a variety of IT packages and systems
  • some legal sector experience preferred
  • understanding of the principles of the SRA Standards and Regulations would be advantageous
  • administrative experience: 1 year
