Responsibility

  • A good geographical knowledge of Leicester is preferential but not essential
  • as a Transport Coordinator, you will be required to be a key contact point for our management, clients, and fleet of drivers and passenger assistants
  • you should be able to work as a team to carry out your job role in a professional manner and ensure the safety and welfare of the service user at all times
  • you will need to work with crews to ensure they have all the necessary safety equipment needed for the contracts assigned
  • you will be assisting with coordinating our crews as they transport vulnerable children and adults, and you must demonstrate an ability to deal sensitively with their needs
  • you are required to be confident in taking telephone calls. Depending on the nature of the enquiry, you will either assist and manage it or pass it on to another appropriate staff member
  • you should have had an Enhanced DBS check undertaken or willingness to undertake one
  • you will need to have good stakeholder management skills to manage working relationships with Clients, School staff, Drivers and Passenger Assistants. You must be able to liaise with these stakeholders in a professional manner at all times
