- contribute to our in-house character suite of tools developed in Python
- engineer solutions that can work standalone or integrated into various Digital Content Creation Applications, like Autodesk Maya and SideFX Houdini
- able to assess code performance, optimize for speed/memory, and develop scalable and adaptable architectures
- work closely with Artists and Technical Directors to build new workflows and solutions
- mentors other team members
- demonstrates technical influence through innovation
- fosters relationships with peers, supervision, stakeholders, and others in the studio
- contribute to a collaborative atmosphere where all members of the team can thrive, supporting our technical guidelines and methodologies such as agile and scrum
Requirements
- proficiency in Python with the ability to quickly produce clear, testable code
- experience with GUI development and user experience processes
- experience or proven ability to mentor people
- experience with performance measurement, profiling, and analysis tools
- BS or master's in computer science, Computer Engineering, or other related field; or comparable industry experience
- experience with agile development and scrum methodology
- +5 years designing and developing complex user-facing software, ideally in a studio environment
