Working hours

Responsibility

  • perform standard servicing & repairs to customer and fleet bikes to an exceptional standard
  • assist in the recycling of bikes through the assessment, stripping down, reconditioning, and repurposing of salvaged parts
  • take bookings, deal with enquiries & generally communicate effectively with customers in person, over the phone & electronically e.g. email
  • provide support for Cycle Hub events
  • maintain a clean and tidy workshop environment
  • ensure that all electronic and paper records are completed accurately and in a timely manner, maintaining customer confidentiality and adherence to data protection policies
  • act as an ambassador for the other aspects of the cycle hub, identifying referral opportunities for training, rides and retail / accessory options based on customer needs

Requirements

  • A recognised Cycle Mechanic trade qualification
  • have a good grasp of the workings of a bike and demonstrate the aptitude required to be a successful mechanic
  • strong desire to learn and master every aspect of the Workshop and its processes
  • cycle mechanic or relevant industry: 1 year
  • you strive for improvement, learn from and open to others, sharing knowledge for the good of the team, customers, and the business
