Responsibility
- we are increasing our procurement team, based at our Head Office in Wednesbury, to include a Senior Buyer
- monitoring market demand and supply for products
- negotiating with suppliers on prices for parts and materials
- communicate with sales/production manager about their requirements
- analysing each and every buying opportunity and working to develop a good supply chain so product can be obtained easily
- sirus have specialised in the design and manufacture of drive from wheelchair and up-front passenger vehicles since 2004 and are market leaders in vehicle innovation within this sector
- submitting reports to management
- as Senior Buyer, you will build on new and existing relationships with suppliers and will be responsible for the coordination and management of a designated group of suppliers
Requirements
- ability to communicate at all levels within the business
- understanding of manufacturing procedures
- good working knowledge of an MRP system Sage
- good decision maker
- ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- strong cost awareness and excellence calculation skills
- procurement: 2 years
- ensure transparency on cost structures and spend in area of responsibility via Commodity Circles
