support engineer

Working hours

  • full-time | Permanent

Responsibility

  • first point of contact for all incidents/requests via email and phone calls, escalating issues when appropriate
  • you will provide expert technical assistance and support to our technical team and other areas of the business as needed
  • provide efficient and professional customer support at all times
  • this role may also include designing, implementing, and testing complex networking infrastructure in support of our customer needs
  • provide technical services and support for WAN and LAN connectivity, MPLS, routers, firewalls, information security, VPN & Terminal Services
  • perform and maintain daily system checks
  • participate in monitoring and management of system alerts and notifications
  • updating IT records and documentation to ISO Standards

Requirements

  • basic Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems/Firewalls/Routing and Switching
  • 4G Router experience
  • juniper JNCIA, Cisco CCNA or equivalent
  • MSP experience
  • an interest in working in a fast-paced helpdesk
  • experience of PBX systems, i.e. Gamma Horizon & Splice.com
  • HP/Aruba
  • ability to schedule own workload prioritising to meet the business’ needs
