Working hours

  • full-time

Responsibility

  • this role also involves the management of the Timber Merchant warehouse and yard personnel
  • previous experience of working at supervisor level or above is essential
  • knowledge of the merchanting industry is also important
  • A Sideloader/Combilift and Counterbalance Forklift license would be preferable, although training can be provided
  • shire Timber Group are looking for an experienced supervisor/manager to join their Timber Merchant team as the Timber Merchant Warehouse and Yard manager at their site on Cross Green Industrial Park in Leeds
  • day to day tasks will include serving customers, picking orders, managing and replenishing stock, loading and unloading delivery vehicles and general housekeeping
  • the position is a permanent full-time role and carries a pay rate of £11.50 - £13.00 per hour dependent on experience
  • the candidate will be required to delegate tasks to other employees, manage the appearance of the yard and warehouse, control lunch breaks and holidays, allocate overtime where needed and play a pro-active role in the improvement of the Timber Merchant department
