Responsibility

  • shield Manufacturing Technologies is an innovative research & development centre
  • this is a high-tech manufacturing facility in Warwickshire
  • currently developing a range of energy saving new products for energy generating markets
  • the site has the facilities to design, build and test products taking new products from start to finish through research to development and into series production of fully assembled products in all materials from Aluminium, Iron and Steel
  • support the production team on a day-to-day basis to ensure timely delivery of customer expectations

Requirements

  • recognised Technical Apprenticeship
  • HNC level equivalent in manufacturing engineering or equivalent experience
  • experience of Mazak controls and machines desirable
  • A proven track record within Production / Manufacturing Engineering or similar
  • experience of CNC machine tool programming
  • able to supervise / lead teams were needed
  • setting up of new processes – 1stoff production, tooling etc
  • able to read and interpret 2D drawings and models
