Requirements

  • proven experience of mechanical conception and design of automation equipment within the BIW process industry is essential
  • at least 5 years’ experience in a mechanical engineering design office
  • have the ability to produce high quality accurate engineering drawings in support the activities outlined above
  • overview
  • have the ability to perform accurate site surveys
  • be capable of designing bespoke equipment to resolve specific solutions
  • this position is based at our Sunderland facility, with visits to customer sites and Head office
  • knowledge of robot jig & fixture design, welding or handling applications would be advantageous

Responsibility

  • you will report to the North east Project Manager and be involved in all aspects of mechanical engineering throughout the each project cycle from conception to installation to ensure that concept designs are converted to automation solutions - on time and to budget
