junior designer
Responsibility
- provide quotations, shape drawings and offer technical support to customers
- process new customer enquiries including feasibility study
- liaise with production, engineering and die departments regarding feasibility, design and function of profiles
- liaise with the toolmaker
- liaise with customers regarding profile application and design to ensure an acceptable solution to the customer’s requirements
- produce extrusion shape drawings
- understand Product Approval process
- understanding of quality procedures
Requirements
- level 2 or 3 Award in 2D Computer-Aided Design - BTECH as a minimum
- design skills and knowledge
- attention to detail
- excellent verbal communication skills
- knowledge of AutoCAD Light
- thinking and reasoning skills
- the ability to work well with others
- the ability to use your initiative
