Responsibility

  • SGA Technologies has been designing and manufacturing high quality hermetic components and offering specialist plating services in the UK since 1969
  • we have around 85 employees and are continuing to grow each year
  • our engineers are key members of the production team, having expertise in hermetic sealing and plating technology
  • due to a recent opening in our engineering team, we now wish to appoint a graduate engineer
  • this is an excellent opportunity for an individual early in their career to make a difference in a wide-ranging engineering role

Requirements

  • good analytical thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, coupled with the drive to learn
  • good communications skills, both verbal and written
  • solid knowledge of material properties
  • experience with Cad with the ability to interpret technical drawings and tolerancing
  • strong aptitude for hands -on engineering
  • obtained, or be predicted to obtain, minimum 2.2 in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Material Science or Manufacturing engineering
  • passionate about solving complex technical problems and learn on the job
  • self-motivated with the ability to work independently with limited supervision, but also the ability to work well in a team and recognise the requirements for seeking help and or guidance
