- financial qualifications CCAB qualified or part qualified with relevant experience
- good solid base of experience in all accounting functions, and minimum 5 years experience in the workplace
- experience of working with multicurrencies and foreign exchange transactions
- experience of working with group accounts and consolidations
- good IT skills, ideally experience with Sage and Multifreight
Responsibility
- maintain the multicurrency cashbooks for all companies and perform daily bank reconciliations
- post sales and purchase invoices to sage and reconcile control accounts
- make payments in multi currencies and book current trades to cover cashflow requirements
- maintain intercompany accounts and reconciliations
- sequana Maritime Ltd are a small family run shipping company which heads a group of companies acting as shipbrokers, ship owners and freight forwarders within Europe, West Africa and Egypt
- produce monthly trial balances and profit and loss accounts of Sage
- we are currently looking to recruit an Accountant to manage the day to day accounting, statutory accounting and tax and regulatory reporting for the business
- deal with foreign exchange differences on transactions
