- full-time
Responsibility
- leading the efficient functioning of the bioassay lab, including the maintenance of laboratory equipment
- planning daily experiment workflow and tasks for junior technicians and supervising their work
- leading the fabrication of reagents to support bioassay work; · Development, maintenance and manufacturing of prototype biological assays and devices
- implementation of bioassay validation to meet regulatory and quality standards for product launch
- information gathering and overall supplier management as necessary
- documenting and maintaining archives of previous work
- write and update SOPs and participate in the validation of test methods and equipment used
- work closely with the Bioassay team in the daily planning and running of experiments, as well as mid-long term experimental plans, for the development of our advanced lateral flow devices
Requirements
- confident with lateral flow devices, immunoassays, buffer preparation and other technical activities
- confident with immunoassays, buffer preparation and other technical activities
- familiar with quality control in the laboratory
- familiar with health & safety regulations in the laboratory environment
- experience with organisation and maintenance of laboratory equipment and materials
- excellent laboratory practical skills, particularly in the area of protein biochemistry/molecular biology techniques and experience operating and maintaining a range of advanced bioanalysis platforms
