Responsibility
- research, design, and develop innovative production processes
- install, commission, maintain, and inspect cutting-edge equipment and facilities
- apply chemical engineering expertise to design, coordinate and conduct comprehensive pilot plant tests
- analyse test data meticulously to derive meaningful conclusions
- evaluate existing processes and devise enhancements to boost efficiency, product quality, safety, and sustainability
- routinely calibrate and troubleshoot instruments to ensure accurate readings
- perform meticulous chemical analysis and physical property testing of materials and products
- establish rigorous standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, and tests
Requirements
- bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field , equivalent to achieving an Upper Second-Class Honours level in the UK
- proven experience in conducting scale up and pilot plant research, development, and operation
- strong understanding of chemical engineering principles, process optimization, and equipment design
- material and energy balances and process flow diagrams
- development of piping and instrumentation diagrams from PFDs
- utility specification, flow, and distribution
- preliminary sizing and specification of equipment and instruments
- hazard, safety, and sustainability analysis
