Responsibility
- reports direct to the Lead Foreman
- assisting in overseeing daily terminal activities
- direct others to ensure terminal and quayside operations are conducted in a safe and controlled manner
- prepare and conduct toolbox talks prior to work commencing and implement traffic management systems where required
- an opportunity has arisen for a new Assistant Foreman to join our team and work closely with the Lead Foreman to coordinate and oversee quayside and terminal operations as part of the company's Aberdeen operation
- carry out pre use checks and report faults or findings to Lead Foreman for all plant and lifting equipment
- ensuring working areas are kept clean and tidy
- ensure that all lift plans are adhered to for operations
Requirements
- minimum experience of 5 years in quayside operations
- previous experience in a supervisory role
- IOSH Managing Safely Certification
- risk Assessment training
- banksman slinger certification
- RTITB B3 forklift operator certification
- be able to demonstrate and strong understand of lifting operations and equipment
- leadership abilities to effectively manage a team
