- be able to work on your own initiative
- providing special diets where necessary
- we are looking for a part time cook for our small friendly care home, you would play a key role in ensuring that mealtimes are a highlight of our residents’ day by preparing and serving nutritious home-cooked meals, whilst also maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and health and safety
- planning, ordering, storing and preparing food to ensure the best quality with a minimum of waste
- cleaning and washing up after meals and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the kitchen
- monitoring methods of food handling, preparation, meal service, and equipment maintenance and cleaning
- stock control; stock replenishing/ordering
