Responsibility

  • operating CNC mill and lathe
  • mechanical system assembly from drawings
  • electrical system assembly from drawings [training available]
  • identify ways of streamlining production and feed this back to the engineers
  • documenting processes for quality assurance purposes
  • work with sub-contract manufacturers and external suppliers
  • other responsibilities related to manufacturing and assembly

Requirements

  • essential attributes
  • experience of operating, setup, and tooling for CNC machines
  • good grasp of mechanical part & assembly drawings
  • strong skills with mechanical and electrical hand tools
  • fault finding and troubleshooting skills
  • attention to detail and ability to determine if assembly is out of spec
  • strong documentation of production and note taking throughout
  • CNC machining: 2 years
