- carry out Chemical Analysis on various products, Raw Materials, Intermediate, Finished product, R&D analysis, and Method development analysis
- developing and formulating new plant-based products
- liaising with suppliers to source the best raw materials for each project
- designing and optimising synthetic routes to client specifications
- ensure the QMS is compliant and used correctly following analysis
- raw materials testing with analytical and physical testing equipment
- assist the QC department where required with routine testing of finished products and raw materials
- investigate and formulate solutions to problems in production, the laboratory and the field, making recommendations to internal members of staff
- keep abreast of market developments, building insights and identifying opportunities for new formats
- liaising with the Quality Control and Manufacturing department, providing all the information needed about each formulation, and providing support
- characterisation of compounds using NMR, HPLC and LC-MS
- confident, you will need to present your analytical data to, internal Colleagues, managers and clients if required
- reviewing safety data sheets and standard operating procedures
- manage own workload effectively ensuring activities are aligned with business timings and project budgets
- assimilation of scientific data and preparing regulatory reports
- support project management activities as required
- ensure continuous improvement for the storage of analytical data
- present to internal and external stakeholders on project milestones
- work closely with the team and team leader to ensure the equipment is validated and calibrated within the laboratory
- provide product briefings/ status updates to suppliers and 3rd parties, when required
