Responsibility
- to learn how to read engineering drawings and specifications and to plan layout, assembly and welding operations
- to learn how to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do the job
- to learn how to lay out, position and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications
- to learn how to carry out flat, vertical and horizontal welding, coat nonferrous metals, inspect, brush and grind welds
- to learn how to develop templates and other work aids to hold and align parts
- to learn how to perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is required
- to learn how to Inspect equipment, structures and materials to identify the cause of any errors or other problems or defects
- to ensure that all duties and responsibilities are discharged in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures, code of conduct and relevant regulations and legislation
Requirements
- excellent attention to detail and able to visually inspect each component as it is being prepared
- able to work to high quality standards
- good hand eye coordination
- good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly
