Responsibility
- install, repair, and maintain fire doors in accordance with industry regulations and standards
- conduct thorough inspections of fire doors to assess their condition and identify any necessary repairs or replacements
- ensure proper functioning of fire door hardware, including hinges, handles, locks, and closers
- collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to determine project requirements and timelines
- adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on construction sites or occupied buildings
- as a Fire Door Fitter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and compliance of buildings by installing, repairing, and maintaining fire doors
- keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked
- stay updated on the latest fire door regulations, industry trends, and best practices
Requirements
- proven experience as a Fire Door Fitter, preferably with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
- extensive knowledge of fire door installation techniques, hardware, and fire safety regulations
- proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients
- ability to work independently or as part of a team, while adhering to project deadlines
- valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights
