we seek a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our kitchen team
the Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, maintaining high culinary standards, and ensuring a smooth workflow
assist the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, including preparation, cooking and presentation of all dishes
ensure proper food storage, labelling, and rotation, maintaining high standards of freshness and sanitation to minimise food wastage
monitor and maintain inventory levels, assist in stock control and planning, and stocktaking
ensure the cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces and equipment to maintain a safe, organised working environment
assist in the planning and execution of menus and recipes when required
the ideal candidate should have a strong culinary background, excellent team and leadership skills, and a passion for creating and delivering outstanding dishes
Requirements
must be at least 18 years of age
must have the right to work in the UK
must be able to work well within a small team
training in food hygiene and allergens essential
excellent organisational and time management skills
exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, innovative dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A minimum of 1 year experience as a Sous Chef, or 2 years experience as a Chef de Partie in a reputable culinary environment
