Working hours

Responsibility
- focus on obtaining the best outcomes for each child and young person placed within the home
- assist in the smooth running of the home, promoting a safe and caring environment
- work within the relevant legislation and effectively implement this within the home
- work to ensure that the young person’s care plan is met
- be a role model - help and guide the children and young people placed
- professional conduct of the highest standards
- report writing, logging notes and key working records
- prepare individual risk assessments and plan key working sessions
Education
- GCSE or equivalent
Requirements
- have a proven track record of working with children and young people, preferably within a children’s residential setting
- be willing to develop your skills further within the residential care arena
- undertake mandatory and statutory training
- have excellent communication, organisation and report-writing skills
- level 3 Residential Child Care or equivalent qualification should be completed or in progress
- availability/Flexibility for early and late shifts as well as night cover
- compliance – DBS and safeguarding checks will be carried out
- support Worker: 1 year
