Requirements

  • university degree, preferably in science/medicine or marketing, advertising, communications
  • 7 – 8 years Agency or comparable experience
  • 3 years of supervisory experience
  • excellent written and oral communication skills
  • well-developed knowledge of business practices/vendor relations
  • maturity to handle independent senior-level Client contact
  • the ideal candidate will have already worked with major global pharmaceutical brands and clients
  • demonstrate good working knowledge of the global and UK pharmaceutical landscape and associated regulatory environments

Responsibility

  • shape the long-term strategic direction of the account and ensure current activities and budgets provide future opportunities
  • aid in the construction of a marketing plan and contribute to a successful pitch
  • ensure clear roles for everyone within the account team
  • input into brainstorms and aid development of the strategic and creative direction of accounts
  • lead strategic and tactical planning processes
  • ensure each team member can work with the right balance of autonomy and support
  • keep abreast of outside issues and events and regularly review impact on programmes and client objectives
  • aggressively monitor and understand the competitive landscape, both strategic and creative
